Join us in Chicago this November for Let's Talk About the House - LIVE, an in-person experience rooted in storytelling, strategy, and solutions for families navigating heirs' property, legacy preservation, and generational wealth. Centered around Dena's Loom, an original play by Blondena's HEIRS founder Evin Marie that traces five generations of Black women, this event weaves together art, education, and healing. Together, we'll share stories, learn strategies, and build community to preserve our homes, memories, and legacies. Experts will share resources about creating wills, navigating property inheritances, having difficult conversations with loved ones, saving on property taxes, and other topics. Adults and youth will leave empowered with tools to preserve their family homes, memory, and legacy.
Youth Legacy Track: youth ages 9–16 take part in interactive workshops and learn about the importance of family legacy, ownership, and wealth preservation. The youth sessions will run concurrently with the main conference programming. Youth will join adults during select plenary moments, fostering intergenerational connection and shared learning. Youth must be accompanied by a adult who is attending the conference.
All proceeds support our mission to empower Black families to make informed financial decisions, heal inheritance-related conflicts, and protect the stories that shaped our collective history.
Your presence affirms your support for our work and reinforces the importance of the conversations we’re holding around Black legacy, heirs’ property, and the meaningful decisions families navigate across generations.
Your feedback helps us strengthen our programming and continue offering relevant, healing, and empowering experiences for families and communities.
This quick 1–2 minute survey ensures we keep improving and honoring the work ahead.
